OMAHA, Nebraska (LifeSiteNews) – Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett – one of the richest men on earth – has given more than $50 million to the pro-abortion, misleadingly named group “Catholics for Choice” since 2000, according to a bombshell report from CatholicVote.

CatholicVote broke the story about Buffett’s pro-abortion funding on April 28 in a piece entitled “CatholicVote Confronts Warren Buffett over ‘Catholics for Choice’ Funding.”

The patriotic and Catholic organization called Catholics for Choice “a pro-abortion extremist group with a long history of acts of hatred and sacrilege against the Catholic Church.” — Article continues below Petition — PETITION: Investigate notorious abortionist for possible partial-birth abortions, infanticide 10849 have signed the petition.Let’s get to 12500! According to a comprehensive report about Catholics for Choice, their “largest and most consistent funder is the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, the personal foundation of billionaire Warren Buffett, one of the world’s top ten wealthiest men.”

“The Buffett Foundation gives between $2 million and $5 million every year to Catholics for Choice and its Latin American affiliate, totaling over $50 million since the year 2000,” stated the report.

Buffett’s Foundation – whose namesake identifies as agnostic – donates to only a handful of groups who claim a religious foundation. In addition, the Buffett Foundation has given billions to anti-life groups over the years, including cutting cheques directly for Planned Parenthood.

“Buffett, who is not Catholic, has given Catholics for Choice over $40 million over the past 20 years, with much of that going to the group’s Latin American arm, which focuses on aborting brown babies in majority-Catholic countries,” wrote CatholicVote.

CatholicVote president Brian Burch asked: “What business does a non-Catholic billionaire have funding an anti-Catholic hate group[?] Does he just hate Catholics?”

Catholics for Choice used a high-powered projector on the eve of this year’s March for Life to shine anti-life messaging on the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in D.C. during a prayer vigil for the unborn.

Although the Buffett Foundation is not officially linked to the major corporations under the Buffett corporate umbrella, which includes companies like Fruit of the Loom, GEICO, and Duracell, Burch opined: “Berkshire Hathaway can say that what Warren Buffett does with his money is irrelevant to the company, but would they be okay with it if Warren Buffett funded an anti-Muslim group which desecrated a mosque?”
